Google Announces I/O
Google just dropped the news: mark your calendars for May 14 because that’s when this year’s Google I/O conference kicks off! The excitement started with a fun “Break the Loop I/O” puzzle, and although they spilled the beans on the date, you can still hop in and play the game.
While Google hasn’t spilled all the beans on what to expect, we’re betting big on some juicy updates in artificial intelligence. And let’s not forget about Android 15, already in the developer beta stage—definitely something to keep an eye on during the two-day event.
Rumour has it that Google might unveil the Pixel 8a at the conference, especially after they let slip a hint about a new feature. Leaks suggest a slightly different design and maybe a heftier price tag compared to the Pixel 7a’s $499.
It looks like we might have to wait a bit longer for the Pixel Fold 2, though. Word on the street is that Google’s outfitting it with their latest chip, causing a slight delay. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?
While only a lucky few get to attend in person, the rest of us can still join in virtually. Expect not just keynotes but also loads of technical sessions and workshops. Oh, and the main keynote? That’s going to be delivered by none other than Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai. Get ready for an epic event!
